EmAIRging

Enhancing indoor environments for health, comfort, and regulatory compliance

In modern offices, indoor air quality is a cornerstone of productivity and wellness. Clean, well-ventilated air improves cognition, lowers sick days and helps you hit the latest building standards. EmAIRging brings you science-grade air intelligence – so facility, HR and ESG teams can prove comfort, health and efficiency in the same dashboard.

The EmAIRging difference

Measure what matters – reliably

Our ENSENSIA (and ENSENSIA mini) multi-sensing systems continuously monitor CO2, PM2.5, VOCs, NO2/O3, temperature and humidity—indoors and out. Devices are compact, PoE-ready, quick to install and built for long service life (e.g., NDIR CO₂ >15 years)

Accuracy you can trust

Low-cost sensors drift. Ours fight back with AI-powered calibration that enhances precision and inter-unit consistency, validated by FORTH/ICE-HT and the LAQS research group. When you need reference-grade answers, our Portable Lab deploys research-grade instruments for audits, validation and campaigns

Act with Confidence

All data flows into our cloud platform for live dashboards, alerts, reports, analytics and Application Programming Interface (API) integration. We translate readings into clear recommendations your teams can act on – ventilation tuning, filtration, space scheduling and maintenance

Proactive Air Intelligence

With SmartAQ+, we fuse physics-based forecasting and machine learning to map neighborhood-scale PM2.5 nowcasts and 72-hour forecasts. Know when outdoor air will challenge your building, pre-condition HVAC, and protect occupants and operations

Our process in action

Monitor

Deploy ENSENSIA or ENSENSIA mini at desks, meeting rooms, open-plan zones, lobbies and critical spaces. Optional outdoor nodes capture street-level infiltration risk. For baselining or investigations, book our Portable Lab

Interpret

Our platform aggregates all signals, benchmarks against targets (e.g., EN 16798 categories and certification goals), and highlights root causes – occupied-hour CO2 creep, episodic PM peaks from cooking/traffic, VOCs during fit-outs, or humidity excursions

Act

Real-time alerts and monthly decision memos guide adjustments: ventilation schedules and setpoints, filtration upgrades, purifier placement, cleaning and procurement policies, and space-use tweaks. Integrate via API with your Building Management System (BMS) to automate DCV.

What you achieve

Healthier, higher-performing teams

  • Keeping CO2 and PM2.5 in healthy bounds, teams respond quicker and think clearer
  • Targeted ventilation and source control reduce symptoms and sick leave linked to under-ventilation

Energy efficiency without guesswork

  • Use CO2 – based demand controlled ventilation (DCV) insights to ventilate when and where needed – cutting energy wasted on empty rooms while maintaining IAQ. (Field and simulation studies report meaningful savings versus constant-air systems.)

Compliance & certifications—made simpler

  • Demonstrate continuous IAQ monitoring that supports WELL v2 Air and LEED v4.1 Emotional Intelligence (EQ) strategies, and align with EN 16798-1 comfort/ventilation categories used across Europe. Our reporting and exports streamline audits and submissions

Smart-ready buildings

  • Our monitoring, analytics and APIs strengthen your SRI profile in “Monitoring & Control” and “Ventilation” service domains – evidencing smart functionality the EPBD is pushing across EU building stock.

Proof points & guardrails

EU-aligned design

We reference EN 16798-1 categories for ventilation/CO2, widely used by designers and auditors. (CO₂ differentials over outdoors of ~550/800/1350 ppm map to comfort Categories I–IV as indicators of per-person ventilation.)

Health science basis

Our targets reflect WHO guidelines and peer-reviewed research on PM2.5, NO2, and the cognitive/absenteeism effects of inadequate ventilation

→ About EN16798-1

EN 16798-1 (2019) provides four categories of indoor environmental quality that include CO2 concentrations above outdoors, noting that these values serve as indicators of outdoor air ventilation rates per person: Category I, 550 ppmv; Category II, 800 ppmv; and Category III and IV, 1350 ppmv. These categories correspond to the expectations of occupants, with normal expectations corresponding to Category II.
