Why “emAIRging”?
The name emAIRging was born at the crossroads of urgency and hope – a play on the word emerging that reminds us what we can’t see (yet), and what is quietly coming to life in the air all around us.
Much like “emerging pollutants” in environmental science – contaminants that are only now being revealed, newly detected or newly understood – our name reflects the hidden risks floating invisibly in buildings and open spaces.
But there’s more to our story than danger. We saw in that invisible ambient aerosol particles a signal, a warning… and an invitation for stewardship. So we transformed “emerging” into “emAIRging” – putting the letters A-I-R front and center to signal our purpose: sensing the subtle footprints of air pollution, and transforming them into clarity, care, and action.
